As of December 2024, the Think Newsletter had 61.6k subscribers, with 83% being non-IBMers, and it’s growing by an average of 800 new subscribers weekly.
Among all the active newsletters in the subscription program today, the Think Newsletter is clearly the most subscribed, boasting 194% more subscribers in 2024 than the next largest newsletter, Future Forward. December 2024 saw particularly significant improvements across metrics as the team refined editorial and design strategies to better meet the audience's needs, adjusting both the look and content to that of a true media publication instead of a typical corporate marketing email. The open rate consistently exceeded 20%, peaking with the final issue of the year on December 31, which reached 29%. Similarly, a cumulative volume of clicks increased throughout the month as well.

Transitioning the new design to the AEM platform from HTML required additional design edits and updates.

As the UX and Visual Designer for the Security Intelligence Blog—IBM Security’s flagship content platform—I was responsible for enhancing the user experience and visual identity to align with strategic content goals and brand standards. My role centered on optimizing readability, accessibility, and engagement across a variety of editorial formats, including long-form research articles, breaking cybersecurity news, and expert analysis.
In 2024, the Security Intelligence blog underwent a significant user experience (UX) overhaul, emphasizing enhanced navigation and content discoverability. Key changes included the elimination of certain sections and the implementation of clearer topic categorization.
The blog also introduced new components like the “News” component, a “Light/Dark” mode component, and category placement.
Role description:
Collaborated closely with editorial, content strategy, and development teams to create user-centered design solutions that enhanced site usability and content discoverability.
Led the visual design of article templates, infographics, interactive elements, and promotional assets to ensure a cohesive and engaging experience across web and social media touchpoints.
Conducted UX audits and user flow optimizations to streamline navigation, improve mobile responsiveness, and support SEO objectives.
Established scalable design systems and style guides to maintain visual consistency and brand integrity across a high-volume publishing environment.
Leveraged data insights, heatmaps, and user feedback to inform iterative design improvements and support content performance goals.
This role allowed me to blend analytical thinking with creative design, ensuring that complex cybersecurity topics were accessible, visually compelling, and easy to navigate for a global audience.

Several new web components were developed for WordPress and AEM pages. A "News" component was created to showcase recent articles or announcements. A combined "Light/Dark mode switch with Category Placement" component was built.

The existing "Promo Banner" component was upgraded with a new input field and a call-to-action button to facilitate newsletter subscriptions. Additionally, an "Author/Contributor" component was created to display author information easily.

The UI redesign for LinkedIn's Elevate program performance dashboard for IBM Global Markets Social Selling focused on clarity and actionable insights.
Key improvements included a streamlined layout with customizable widgets, allowing users to prioritize key metrics.
Data visualizations were enhanced for better readability and trend identification, and interactive filters were added to enable granular analysis of program performance.
The redesign also emphasized a more intuitive navigation experience, making it easier for users to access relevant data and generate reports.

All web pages previously developed on the Drupal platform were successfully migrated to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This migration project included carefully transferring existing content, creating and integrating new content, and updating select imagery. The transition to AEM provides a robust foundation for future development of personalized experiences, streamlined workflows, and improved analytics tracking.
